Meet Amanda
September 18, 2026
You did it! You just gave the best presentation. Of. Your. Life.
You were compelling, engaging, memorable, and even made your audience laugh! All of your hard work paid off, and you’re practically floating from the energy in the room and sheer relief of how well today has gone.
As you reach your conclusion, you look to your audience, finish your final point, and thank them for their time and attention. And then you watch as their expressions switch from elated… to deflated.
What happened?! What went wrong?
From your POV, you wrapped up a great talk and sent them on their way.
From their POV, you wrapped up a great talk, and then just…left…without telling them how to implement your ideas!
Even if you open strong, share engaging, memorable stories, and establish credibility and expertise, all of your work can fall flat if you leave out one crucial step.

The call to action is the bridge between your ideas and change.
If you’re speaking to aspiring restaurateurs about how to run a great restaurant, it would help to offer them a few practical steps to take in order to open their dream restaurants.
If you’re presenting on the merits of community building in the workplace, offer people ideas for team building exercises and other morale-boosting policy changes.
Giving an amazing once-in-a-lifetime presentation without a call to action is a missed opportunity.
Keep the momentum going and inspire your audience with a few next steps. And, keep it simple! Including one or two steps to get them started is all you need.
