I love sloths. They look chill, content, and are so friggin’ cute.
Sloths are chill and still.
And stillness is powerful for a number of reasons.
🦥 Stillness can have a powerful impact on your audience. Whether you are on stage or on Zoom, when you share a really important point, be still.
This will enable your audience to more easily receive what you are saying. They won’t be distracted by random movement.
You will also seem like a more grounded and reliable source of information.
🦥 Stillness can be powerful for you.
I love to be busy having lots of experiences. Over time I came to look more deeply at my very full schedule.
While the desire to experience a lot and accomplish my goals and dreams was good, I was also using busyness as a coping mechanism.
There were feelings I did not want to deal with. Thoughts I didn’t really want to look at.
At some point a number of years ago, I started having sloth time.
I wanted to observe and understand my inner world. I wanted to face what I was avoiding. I wanted to release what was holding me back.
Sloth time allowed me to do this.
I did not always have a sloth smile on my face! But stillness helped me to get so much more grounded and free from defense mechanisms and patterns I didn’t need anymore.
And that is POWERFUL!
Do you need some sloth time for stillness?
Set up some time for us to chat and let’s get you closer.
